                Thursday, September 6 - Potluck Dinner, 6:00 pm.  A fun outing at Stone Park Lodge in Stone Park.  Bring a dish to share and your own table service.  Coffee, iced tea and lemonade will be provided.  Victoria Shamblin, Plymouth County Naturalist, will present the program on her recent trip to Costa Rica.  If you need help finding the Lodge in Stone Park, call Paul Roisen at 301-3817.  

                 Saturday, September 8 - SHOW AND GO Outing.  Meet at the NW corner of the Super Walmart parking lot on Singing Hills Blvd. at 7:30 am. Current plans are to search some of our local areas for fall warblers and shorebirds. It is not necessary to bring a lunch since we intend to conclude the outing around noon.                  Monday, September 10 - Buckthorn Removal 9:00 am.  Meet at the east entrance to Stone Park.  There are many opportunities to help with this worthwhile project this fall. For questions and answers related to the project, contact Bill Zales, Conservation Chairman.

                 Thursday, October 4 - LHAS monthly meeting. 7:30 pm. Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center.  Ty Smedes of Des Moines will present two programs set to music:  "Things Worth Saving" and "An Eagle Ballet".  Most of the images were taken in Iowa.  Board meeting 6:00 pm.  All are welcome to attend.
